It’s official, one of the best sharpshooters in CS:GO , s1mple (aka Aleksandr Kostyliev), is, at 24, a true legend. It’s not just because s1mple is a legend when it comes to shooting games. Everyone already knows that.
What we mean is that s1mple’s legend status is now official. That’s right, the Ukrainian professional player is now part of the RAID team!
During our August s1mple interview with Navi , he shared memories of his early days in gaming, how he stays fit and what his career would have been like if he hadn’t. not follow the path he chose.
But while we’ve talked about his teammates, his pre-game rituals, and his love of coffee, we haven’t touched on the subject of RAID: Shadow Legends.
Hailing from Kiev, CSGO s1mple is a fan of all shooters and RPGs . That’s why we worked closely together, using s1mple’s expertise and experience in crosshair, to create an all new and exciting character.

A new champion arrives in RAID: Shadow Legends
But before we tell you how to get your hands on the new champion and s1mple configs in RAID: Shadow Legends, let’s quickly run through the basics:
- The only appropriate level for an icon like s1mple is the highest, which is why the new Champion will be ranked Legendary (putting them ahead of Epic, Rare, Uncommon, and Common characters);
- The name of the new Champion is Aleksandr the Sharpshooter – to testify to the man behind the player;
- His skills are Arctic Warfare , Spraydown , and Born to Win .

Who is Alexander the Sharpshooter?
You can expect to see a character that has deadly aim, ranged attack, outflanks enemies, and can kill efficiently just for fun.
We’ve also imbued Aleksandr the Sharpshooter with some of the best qualities of s1mple. For example, when we spoke to him in August, s1mple said he often uses others’ suggestions to make his tactical decisions.
In other words, he is a player who is willing to listen in order to learn and adapt. This is an important skill to have, especially in RAID: Shadow Legends where cooperation within a clan can decide victory or defeat.
Finally, the s1mple config will give the new champion considerable advantages in the game.
How can I unlock Aleksandr the Sharpshooter?
This new character from RAID: Shadow Legends is special. Although we would like to make it accessible to everyone, we believe that a certain exclusivity is necessary. Therefore, if you want to unlock this new character, you will have to do the following:
- Log in to the game between December 1 and January 28 (09:00 UTC);
- Accumulate the equivalent of 7 days of connections;
- These days don’t have to be consecutive – meaning you can miss a day and come back later.

The legend of Aleksandr ‘s1mple’ Kostyliev
His playing career started very early, at the age of four. Guided by his older brother, boy genius Kostyliev honed his skills for 12 years, and by the age of 16, s1mple was a pro.
His first pro gaming team in eSports was LAN DODGERS. He then joined Courage Gaming and, at the end of his first year as a pro gamer in 2014, he signed with Hellraisers.
He bounced around the circuit before moving to NAVI in 2016. It was then that he really came into his own and his name became synonymous with success. A gold medal at ESL One: New York in 2016 was followed by a string of prestigious team and individual honours.
In 2020, s1mple was ranked the second best CS:GO player in the world behind Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut. In 2021, he is considered by some to be the best CS:GO player in the world.
